The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it is actually alarmed concerning the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support level developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this website reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
